Inspired by the renowned Oachira Cattle Festival which takes place in Kerala, located in the southern part of India, cow heads or bull heads are traditionally used on the front of hundreds of chariots paraded around the temple during the festival.
Usually placed at the entrance of the house to signal prosperity and growth.
These are sculptures done on a single piece of wood which are hand painted to give a vibrant look.
There can be a different wood carving on ears or forehead of cow heads.
