This is a 'Kantha' hand embroidered blouse material on 100% cotton. 'Kantha' is a century old form of embroidery stitch which has originated from Bengal. Its origin can be traced back to pre - Vedic age. It was a craft practised by women of all clases in rural India. Two men carrying a women in a palanquin which was a mode of transport in ancient India have been intricately depicted on the piece of cloth with the help needle & thread by skilled artisans of Bengal.
