Handpainted Kulo (Cane) Art Combo (2)

Kulo is a cane tray that is used for winnowing. Oftentimes artwork is done on it and displayed. This is a very traditional Bengali art form and is being revived and celebrated even today.

The two kulos depict three fishes and a couple. The colours as usual are bright, contrasting and very earthy. The pictures are simple and depict the simple harmony of rural life.
